HOW I MADE MY OMBRE WIG

HELLO !!

like my wig? you can make your own

So you guys know i have natural hair , one of it's needs is protection for retaining length ! Protective styling is a yes yes for natural hair .. which is why i love weaves (i do wanna take a break from this tho)and wigs ..Because of the fact that i wanna take a break from weaves I have turned to purchasing wigs .. but instead of that i thought , my weaves shouldn't go to waste ..so lately i've been making wigs myself out of these weaves and this is how ...

ITEMS NEEDED
- DUMMY HEAD (any type , i got mines from a beauty supply store for $5)
- DOME CAP (be sure to get the male type , they are stronger, got it for $2)
-BIG NEEDLES AND BLACK THREAD
-COMB AND SCISSORS
-ANY WEAVE OF YOUR CHOICE
- LACE CLOSURE (optional)

STEP 1
- using the dummy head , i placed the dome cap over it ,like an actual woman lol ..after doing this you thread you needles and be sure to double the thread to avoid it cutting off and stressing you

STEP 2
Sew on from the bottom ,each of the bundles of your weave ..be sure to knot your thread while doing this so when you comb your wig it doesn't yank off the weave..be sure to sew the tracks not too far off each other so it looks full

STEP 3
keep sewing your tracks horizontally until you approach the top , then you sew it circularly whilst approaching the parting area

STEP 4 (optional)
when approaching the area of the parting , i look for any random nude coloured piece of stocking , socks or clothing i have , cut up a little piece and sew to the top , i do this to give the closure a nude coloured base because i believe no one has black scalps LOL! and you do want you wig to look as natural as possible y'know ;)

STEP 5
sew on the edges of the closure you have right on top of the nude cloth and style as you desire ..

if you do not have a closure , you can make due , in an old post of mine where i had curly black wig on , i made that wig with no closure , so if you don't have a closure then step 4 is important for you, after doing step 4 , you just continue sewing the tracks of the weave up to the very top then make two neat horizontal tracks opposite each other and VOILA ! YOU'RE DONE

STEP 6
LAY THAT WIG ANG ROCK IT LIKE IT'S GROWING FROM YOUR HEAD LOL
ps: i use edge control to blend my edges in

IT CAN BE WORN AS A MIDDLE OR SIDE PART

see the use of the nude cloth below

forgive my photo bombing friend .. hey olivia ! (best friend tag coming soon)

THATS IT ! MAKE SURE YOU TRY IT OUT xx
