NATURAL HAIR : SOME OF MY FAV NATURAL HAIR PRODUCTS

Heyyyyyyyyy my lovers !
Today's post is for my fellow naturalistas and those willing to transition. I'm almost 2 years in this natural hair game. It has it's pros and cons but I love it still ...so I'm just going to be showing and reviewing some products that have really helped in one way or another ..

Here are some photos of my natural hair , blown out , curled , twisted ...lol it's versatile !

Ok back to the product review

My TRESemm√© family

TRESemm√© NATURALS - conditioner and shampoo
I used to use the au naturale conditioner and shampoo but I ran out so I decided to try something new with this ...and I love it ... The shampoo contains low sulphate (which is what you should look out for when purchasing shampoo) ..I don't use shampoo a lot , I mostly co-wash(wash using only conditioner) which explains why my conditioner bottle is almost empty ...the conditioner also contains coconut oil and jojoba extract ! Yum !! 10/10

TRESemmé SPLIT REMEDY - conditioner and shampoo
I mostly use these after I take down braids or any protective style that has been in for long ..to restore split ends ..I love the conditioner , it contains some nuts and all which helps you scrub well!

JBCO - JAMAICAN BLACK CASTOR OIL
Whatever hype this gets ! It is well deserved ! I use this product for almost everything ... It helped me grow out my edges when I had breakage ..(along side Shea butter and virgin hair cream) ..it's so soft ! It grows out your hair and leaves it healthy !

CANTU SHEA BUTTER - CURL ACTIVATOR CREAM
Hayyy!! I could spazz over this product all day !! It's almost too soft ..I love it ! I use it when doing twists or Bantu knots or braid outs ..it helps display my curl pattern well ! 10/10

ECO STYLER GEL - OLIVE OIL
This product is made with 100% olive oil ???what's not to love about this ! It doesn't flake or tack or itch .., it helps a lot with my curls too !

HAWAIIAN SILKY MIRACLE WORKER 14-in-1
"Miracle worker" perfect name for real .... I think this is my all time favorite ..I keep running out of it and it's so hard to find.... Once you apply this to your hair , you forget you're a natural because of the softness it gives to the hair ,.this is so awesome I swear ! 1000/100

MIXED CHICKS LEAVE -IN CONDITIONER

My favorite leave in .. I love the smell , it's also very good for curls , it softens the hair and it's easy to apply too.

OILS - SHEA BUTTER , CASTOR OIL , COCONUT OIL , OLIVE OIL

Olory Shea butter - I'm almost out of it :( ..I love it so much ..it helped grow out my edges , it has mint in it so it may burn a little but I love that tingle about it
Castor oil - one of the necessary natural hair products .. It grows hair fast and keeps hair moisturised

Coconut oil - i absolutely love the smell of this..because coconut is awesome ! I got my self a huge bottle of unprocessed coconut oil , so it could do it's work perfectly ..helps me avoid frizz
Goya olive oil - extra virgin olive oil ... I love it. Helps keep hair healthy and gives max shine and helps to avoid dryness thereby preventing breakage.

PROTECTIV MEGA GROWTH OIL
I've used this product so much as you can see the bottle is almost empty ... As the name implies it helps keep your growth rate high and keeps hair shiny and moisturised.

DARK AND LOVELY - anti breakage hair butter and motions treatment conditioner
I use these products when I'm deep conditioning my hair along side (KITCHEN MAYONAISE- which is meant for eating lol)
Dark and lovely corrective leave -In
This is especially good for damaged hair and it's a good moisturizer !

MOTIONS HEAT SEEKER PROTECTING SPRAY
if you're going to be using heat (blow drying , straightening , curling iron) on your natural hair (which is not advisable) you need a heat protector to avoid losing your curl pattern .. And this is the one I use

SPRITZ WATER BOTTLE
your natural hair needs water almost everyday ..it is advisable to get a water bottle one with a spritz nozzle for easy application too ... This used to be an oil product but I emptied it and now I use it for water ! VERY IMPORTANT !!

I hope this was helpful ! Leave a comment on something you want to see on here (you could inspire my next post) THANK YOUUUUUUU

    1. Thank you ! And if the length of the undergrowth is long enough for you , you can cut off the relaxed part ... If not you can still be in transition for a while before you finally do the big chop

  6. Hey Uwanii..I'm so happy you did a natural hair review lol i've been waiting for it :) okay so i started growing my hair like 2 years ago and at some point it got too full and extra tough, i practically cried each time i had to make it so my mum said i should use a texturizer so it'll be easier to take care of and i did that like a year ago and it got easier to handle but still a bit tough so when i didn't have a weave or braids, i usually straightened it so it'd feel softer but i just saw from your review that it's not advisable lol so i'm gonna stop. though i noticed that sometimes the texturizer stays in too long and some parts of my hair feel relaxed and are longer, especially the back but i'm thinking of stopping, cos i fear my hair will appear relaxed and i really like having natural hair. do you think i should stop texturizing and cut the hair a bit to get everything back to base or should i leave it? and please where can i get the hair products you listed and are they really expensive? i'm sorry this is long x_x thank you :)

    1. lol thank you very much..and i think you should stay away from texturizers ..they are almost as bad as relaxers if misused ..and yes i think you should try and get everything back so you can have completely healthy hair xx

  17. There is a huge array of hair styling tools available on the market today, from top-of-the-range blow dryers to the ubiquitous but highly usable ghd straighteners, but using the wrong tools for your hair can lead to a hair care disaster.buy har vokse
